OUR TEACHERS

Welcome to Musical Theatre Life!

I graduated from Birmingham University where I studied Sociology. Soon after, I realised that I wanted to teach so I gained my QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and was a Primary School Teacher for 15 years. During these years, at a range of different schools, I became Head of Music and Drama, along with many other senior leadership responsibilities. 

As a child, I ate, slept and breathed Musical Theatre. I was constantly singing and always on the stage! I am LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) trained, singing trained and I love nothing more than playing the piano. 

MTL was born to enable as many children as possible to be exposed to all different types of Musical Theatre, just like I was as a child. I wanted to share my love and passion for it and allow children of any ability to be part of it. My mission is to spread the magic of Musical Theatre amongst children and adults of all ages, allowing them to ‘live their musical theatre life’ just like I always have done. 

Being able to showcase what we learn in our huge MTL shows twice a year, is a real privilege for me. I am so proud of all the pupils of MTL and I can’t wait to welcome more of you in the future.
