Our musical theatre classes for ages 4 to 18, are designed to foster diverse skills from confidence and teamwork to advanced singing, dancing and acting techniques.
We empower students to excel on stage and personally, building motor skills, mastering diaphragmatic breathing, timing, harmony and character development through script work. Students of all ages collaborate on dynamic musical theatre performances, with solo and group singing opportunities, ensuring a well-rounded individual artistically and personally.
RECEPTION - YEAR 1
TUESDAYS: 3.50PM - 4.50PM
EARLY YEARS DEVELOPMENT
Our classes for 4 to 6-year-olds foster confidence, teamwork, self-esteem, memory, and motor skills through diverse musical routines.
- Fun warm-ups/drama games to develop confidence
- Explore voice, body language and facial expressions through play, imagination and improvisation
- Explore characters and settings, whilst moving or singing to music.
- Work towards big musical theatre numbers, learning choreography
YEAR 2 - year 3
WEDNESDAYS: 3.50PM - 4.50PM
BUILDING CONFIDENCE
Our 6 to 8-year-old classes enhance singing, dancing, and acting skills through various warm-ups, and drama games, culminating in group theatre performances.
- Script work to develop voice, body language and facial expression
- Accent work
- Breathing techniques through singing
- Learning big, choreographed musical theatre numbers
YEAR 4 - year 6
WEDNESDAYS: 5.00PM - 6.00PM
ENHANCING SKILLS
Our classes for 8 to 11-year-olds focus on enhancing singing, acting and dancing skills with an emphasis on voice projection through breathing techniques. We also introduce harmonies.
- Sing songs, mastering breathing, pausing, navigating overlaps, rounds and harmonies.
- Perform harmonies and song parts independently as a group by the end of each lesson.
- Script work/ character development, exploring voice, expression, personality and scene dynamics.
- Big, choreographed musical theatre numbers.
MTL Teens
MONDAYS: 4.30PM - 5.30PM
EQUIP FOR LIFE
Our 11 to 18-year-old classes further refine singing, acting, and dancing skills.
- Diaphragmatic breathing for optimal performance.
- Singing with proper timing, pausing and harmonies.
- Script work exploring character development, voice, and expression.
- Big musical theatre numbers, with solo, duet, and small group singing opportunities.
